16 oz. lean ground beef

16 oz. diced yellow onion

4 minced garlic cloves

32 oz. reduced-sodium chicken broth

14 ½ oz. can petite diced tomatoes

14 ½ oz. can crushed tomatoes

1 ¼ oz. tomato paste

1/3 oz. dried basil

¾ tsp. dried oregano

½ tsp. EACH of crushed dried rosemary, crushed fennel seeds and dried thyme

1 tsp. granulated sugar

¾ oz. fresh parsley, chopped

A pinch of salt and ground black pepper

6 ½ oz. lasagne noodles, broken into small pieces

10 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded

4 oz. parmesan cheese, finely shredded

8 oz. ricotta cheese
